Seaweed..ish

Hello guys and girls, I hope everyone is well and enjoying this rare beautiful british sun? The sun makes me so happy and really motivates me in to getting myself in gear - if only it could be like this all year round!!
Anyway on to this post, I recently attended an underwater themed party and so basically used it as an excuse to turn my face in to a disco ball. I love carnivals/festivals and go to Notting Hill carnival every year and so took my inspiration from there. If it were socially acceptable to go out like this everyday, I would as I luuurve glitter...a little too much.
On to the elephant in the room - the skirt! I am getting a little bit worried about my obsession concerning Motel, I have so many of their clothes I could be their spokeswoman. I even have this exact skirt in blue (which is in one of my earlier posts) which even I think is a bit ridiculous, but the pattern is just so beautiful I couldn't resist it. So I have finally come to terms with it and actively accepted that I have a Motel addiction (I also have a curry addiction but we'll save that for another post;) ) but then I realised, there are worst things to be addicted to than funky skirts. So Motel, you keep doing you and creating your wonderfully lush clothes and I'll keep doing me and wearing them until I'm grey.

And it was called "Yellow"

Hey guys, I promised I'd be back extra soon and I've stuck to my word! Just a small post as I thought I hadn't professed my love for motel in a while...I love this skirt partly because I got it in the sale but mostly because it's bright yellow, which sounds awful but just works beautifully. I thought I'd keep it simple by teaming it with a white crop top and shoes to contrast with my skin. Only minor fault with this outfit is that it's so pale it gets super dirty really easily. I wore this to the club and when I got home I was Christina Aguilera dirrrrty, but it washed off nicely and I look forward to wearing this little number again :).

Worlds Worst Blogger Award

And the 'Worlds Worst Blogger Award' goes to...me! I don't know if I have even earned the right to call myself a 'blogger' due to my sporadic posts but hey ho I thought I'd give it another go. Truthfully, during the winter months the weather does really affect me and I lack the motivation to write - let alone post anything. Nevertheless, it is now officially spring and recently as I was sitting on Brighton beach soaking up the cold sun, a tonne of inspiration hit me (hence the post). So, do not  fear, this is just a little 'I am alive' post and to also let you know that I will be posting extremely soon. Stay tuned x

Oh My Love!

Hello lovelies, in dedication to this amazing heatwave I thought I'd do a summery post! Sorry for the lack of posts by the way, I would say that I've been sunbathing and soaking up the sun but we both know that's a lie as it's not really that necessary for me - so instead I'll just admit that I've been having a well deserved rest after a tough string of exams at uni ;). Anyway, I bought this dress a few months ago from Oh My Love but haven't really worn it due to the weather so I'm absolutely loving the excuses that the sun brings especially because this month is supposed to be an august washout! Also this dress is absolutely fantastic if you're going for a meal because it's so loose you could literally hide anything under it! I'm not implying stealing food or anything like that (although I don't judge) but it is fantastic if you're planning on going all out, like I do unintentionally, everyday. I also nabbed myself these gorgeous white sandals, I've mentioned many times that I'm a massive fan of chunky shoes so when I saw these shoes I immediately fell in love with them. Oh and on a separate note I'm off to Mexico on sunday, I'm really excited even though I speak maybe 4 words of spanish so I'm hoping that everyday I'll get the opportunity to ask for white wine followed by a goodbye...blanco vino por favor, adios.

My Daily Make Up Look

MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC50
MAC Studio Fix Powder NC50
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NC35
Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Natural Dark
Mac Matte Lipstick Rubywoo
Sleek Contour Kit Dark
Brushes The Body Shop

Hey guys! Sorry I've been M.I.A I've had two massive assignments due at Uni and so have been working my butt off. Anyway I thought I'd do a post about my daily make up look as I'm a huge make up addict. As you can probably tell I'm a massive lover of MAC because their foundation finishes are amazing and as I'm a big partier I need a foundation base that will still be on at the end of the night. I can't tell you how many times it's gotten to 3am in the club, they've turned the lights on and I've looked in the mirror to find my make up smudged and dripping down my face - so since I've discovered MAC I've been singing its praises. I also can't  believe I'm revealing this but I'll let you in to a little secret...I am secretly facially bald...dun dun dun! That's right I've said it. Ok, so maybe not completely, but my eyebrows are incredibly thin (basically non-existent) so I do draw on my eyebrows and occasionally wear false eyelashes  (I'm not high maintenance I promise...eek!) I suppose it does have it's pro's as in I don't have to shape my eyebrows or moustache (I don't really grow a moustache) but that's the only positives that I can think of for the time being. My biggest grouch however has definitely got to be looking constantly surprised when they aren't drawn on, it's really not a look I enjoy rocking . Finally another key part of my make up routine is my contour kit, it's fantastic and really brings out your cheekbones and any other features you want to highlight! My lipstick changes daily so I won't go in to detail about that, but to sum everything up; Foundation, Eyebrows and Contour Kit are my 3 definite essentials and if you're lucky enough to grow eyebrows then I am and will continue to be incredibly jealous of you!

Suited and Booted

Okay so this post is dedicated to 'Coordinates', they're all the rage at the moment and I nabbed myself this lovely one from Motel (the love of my life) and teamed it with my favourite chunky boots. The back is backless (oo lala) so it's a great outfit and it's really stretchy meaning that when I wear it out, I can dance like a crazy lady but still feel comfortable which is one of the most important things to me on a night out (apart from where the next drink is coming from). Topshop, Boohoo, Missguided, Oh My Love and of course the wonderful Motel are all doing fantastic coords so definitely check them out. Ella Eyre also wore quite a similar coord to this one - also from Motel (She has brilliant taste) - but with a pair of Nike trainers for all you hipsters out there.
So to cut a long story short, suits are no longer limited to the average businessman, get on board with coords!

The Only Way Apparently Is Essex

Just a short post because I don't want to bore you wonderful people, but yesterday I got back from a lovely town called Witham in Essex! I really did feel like a tourist visiting my friend because shows such as 'The Only Way Is Essex' had convinced me that Essex was this far off mystical place full of overly tanned people all shouting 'Shut upp!!' but it's actually not like that at all. Instead it was beautiful and quaint and as a born and bred London girl I really did appreciate the beauty of nature and felt quite jealous (apart from when I nearly stepped in poo, that I did not appreciate).

Simply stunning

We also took an adventure to the country club (Yes I really do mean country club!). I had a lovely lunch at a place called Benton Hall (definitely check it out if you're ever in the area) and we enjoyed the food so much that we even went there the next day for lunch...I think that now makes me a regular at the country club, that's definitely something to put on my CV. We even had time to bake up a tasty batch of Pain Au Chocolat, so all in all it's been a great last few days; I've been a tourist, an affluent nature appreciator and even a baker! - ok so admittedly the Pain Au Chocolat did come already rolled and I just had to pop it in the oven for 12 minutes and I'm not an 'official' member of the country club but it still counts...right?!
